Three more days until Craig gets home! Woo hoo!

Got on the scale for my weekly weigh-in this morning. 3 pounds down for the week, which puts me at 14.5 pounds down total. Little by little, it's coming, but I'm pleased with the overall results so far. I already have Thanksgiving planned so it's not too sabotaged. Next on the list will be Alex's birthday, but the inlaws will have arrived by then and they've been doing WW, too, it turns out. So hopefully they won't be constantly nibbling on sweets when they're here, lol.

I'm a single chapter away from finishing my book. It'll be the shortest full-length I've done solo (it'll probably clock in at 74k when all is said and done), but that's OK. The important part of that sentence is "done", lol.

I have my guitar lesson tomorrow. I'm a little anxious about it. With Craig's absence, it's been difficult to find time to practice so I'm not as polished as I'd like to be going in.

In spite of not being able to do any decorating until well after Thanksgiving, the kids and I made gingerbread houses this past weekend. FYI: making gingerbread houses and trying to make supper at the time = McDonald's for supper. For the kids. I had soup from the freezer.

I have a confession to make. I started tivoing General Hospital. I saw a magazine on a newsstand a few weeks back about Laura coming back, and I couldn't resist. I grew up on GH. I can tell you exactly where I was when Scotty decked Luke on the Quartermaine yacht after finding out about him and Laura. I can still remember gasping out loud when Luke's hand came out of the water and grabbed Laura's ankle. And wouldn't you know it, but Luke and Laura scenes can still get to me. I always adored Tony Geary. I think Luke started my obsession with antiheroes, lol. Now, I don't know who the hell half the other people are because I haven't watched/followed GH since before leaving for the UK in '99, but oh well. I'm picking it up. We'll see what happens when the Luke/Laura storyline is over. I might just stop watching it again. Maybe.

Other than that, life trudges on. It's boring and it's repetitive and I'll never get caught up on everything I have to, but it's not such a bad one in the end. I don't even mind the rain right now. :)
