Well, we've finally got our NC plans firmed. Tickets have been bought, a rental car has been booked, the hotel has been reserved. And it all starts tomorrow night! Yep, you read that right. We're taking the redeye out of San Francisco, getting to Raleigh the next morning. It'll be easy on the kids because they can sleep on the plane then, and we have a long enough layover in DC to get breakfast. By Saturday afternoon, I should be at my mom's.

Now I just have to call her and let her know what's going on, lol.

We're flying back the 20th, so only 8 days there. Not too big a chunk out of my schedule. Hopefully, I'll be able to start working on Beg again on Sunday so that I have a post for Wednesday. Fingers crossed. :)

On the writing front, a short novella I wrote called "The Canvas of Her Skin" finally has a release date. It should be coming out from Phaze on 9/10, and the mock-up of the cover just got proposed, so hopefully I'll have a copy of that to show you very soon. I have to admit, I'm mildly in love with the cover, though now I'm worried that the simple story it contains will disappoint people, lol. It's not plotty, just simple smutty romance about a painter who finds a fresh muse. Still, I always liked it so maybe my adoration of the cover is a silly obstacle. :)
