Some time ago, we agreed to watch our friends' kids while they went to a two-day seminar. Well, that was this weekend. So from 2ish yesterday afternoon until 8pm tonight, I had 6 kids in my house from the ages of 4-12.
I. Am. Knackered.
They're good kids, don't get me wrong. In fact, they're great kids. The two oldest are great at keeping the younger ones in line, and they're incredibly polite and helpful. I even spent a couple hours today baking with the oldest girl (she loves to bake and her mom doesn't do a lot of it, so I volunteered). But it's *tiring*, lol. The worst was meals. Would you believe each child picked a different jam for their sandwiches today, lol? I have newfound appreciation for people with large families. It's a whole new mindset, even with feeding them. Nothing like a dose of reality to keep things in perspective, huh?
So tomorrow I can return to my just hectic life instead of crazy life. For a little while at least. And after I get a *lot* of sleep tonight. :)
