Things are...stressy right now. Lots of little things which mean nothing to anybody but me, but unfortunately pull me from being any kind of reliable online presence recently. I'm not sleeping well, and I spend a good part of the time fighting mood swings, which doesn't do anybody any good at all. So if I seem short or distant to you, that's why. And I'm sorry.
I leave for San Antonio on Thursday for the EPIC Convention. It's a writer's thing; they're the e-publishing organization that run the awards for which my book, Chains of Jericho, is a finalist. Hopefully I'll learn new things and grow as a writer, and I'll get to sit back on Saturday night and be proud that my first original novel did so well. I have no illusions about winning; my category has the most finalists at 8, and I'm a newbie. But that's OK. More than OK. I get to get dressed up and have a weekend away before I'm left on my own again with the kids, because yeah, Craig has take another trip to India. He's only going to be gone a bit over a week this time, but then a couple weeks later, he's in Boca Raton for something else.
But anyway, the point of the post is just to reiterate that I'm here. I'll be back as soon as I can. :)
