On the family front, everybody is finally healthy again. Yay! Alicia started her real softball practices, but after days of torrential storms, the school playground was one massive mud slide, and she came home cold and dirty. I'm not sure how she's going to take to it. She loves to play, but she hates being dirty, and Wednesday, when the coach was having them practice running as if from base to base, she was taking the path of least resistance to avoid mud, zigzagging every which way from A to B. Her coach didn't say too much as she's one of the newbies on the team, but she and I had a talk afterward. :)
Finally finished the first round of edits on my werewolf novel and got those sent back in. Second round should start this weekend if my editor sticks to her schedule. Hopefully these will be less strenuous.
An unremarkable week on AI. None of the women really blew me away, and while I loved Ace for trying the Daniel Bedingfield song (I adore Daniel Bedingfield), hitting those high notes just looked painful. Taylor was entertaining, but I agree with the judges on being safe. The only one I loved was Chris. Loved Chris. I want him to do well; he just seems like such a decent guy as well as being able to sing. And yay! Brenna the Bitch is gone! I was surprised to see Radford go, for some reason I thought he would be in the top 12. But the rest? Not so much.
New Apprentice started this week! One of my guilty pleasures, I admit. Craig and I died over the girl claiming the British guy sold so much because of his accent, lol. Yes, 'tis true. It works magic. :)
Craig and I finally watched Serenity when it came from Netflix. I was already spoiled so knew what to expect, but...well, people. I tried. Just like I did with the show, but...yeah. It still leaves me cold. Even Craig didn't care for the movie too much and he really enjoyed the series. I guess it just wasn't meant to be between me and Firefly...
Massive hugs to go out to the marvelous psubrat! Happy Birthday, hon!
And now I should probably start my day for real...
