Last night's TV and a fic rec

I'm killing the 10 minutes before I have to leave to pick up Alicia by talking about last night's TV...

You know, I still really don't like the actress playing the lead, but I find myself not disliking this show as much as I did in the beginning. In fact, when she's not the focus of a scene, I quite enjoy it. Boreanaz has never been so charming, and I really like the supporting cast. I'm glad Craig insisted on giving it another go.

I just can't say enough good stuff about this show. Even though I can't stand Chase, I found last night's episode completely engrossing, probably because of the back and forth nature of the whole thing. House's clinic attitude continues to crack me up, and Wilson's closing line after Foreman was announced as House's temporary new boss was absolutely perfectly timed. Craig and I were laughing solidly all through the final credits.

I'm not surprised by Foreman's temporary promotion, though. He's been groomed for this spot the entire run of the show, and really, is the only logical choice. It's going to be fun to watch everybody butt heads.

In case anybody's missed it, Flurblewig did an absolutely hysterical Angel/House crossover fic called The L.A. Patient. I even read parts of it out loud to Craig---who doesn't do the fic thing unless it's mine---and he was laughing, too. Go read. You'll enjoy.
