Last night's TV

Maybe it's just because I don't have high expectations from the show, but I didn't think it was suck-worthy as some people did. Yes, Lana was on a lot of it, but frankly, I find the actress a hell of a lot more interesting when she's playing possessed, kind of like with the witch in S4. Kind of like David Boreanaz being better as Angelus than Angel. That kind of thing. So, it could've been worse.

So much of the humor was tongue-in-cheek, that it wasn't that bad. I kind of liked Chloe calling the sorority head Buffy and her changing the names to "protect the vapid." Hee. It wasn't laugh out loud, but I smiled. Then again, I like Chloe.

As for James...I have to admit the terminator-esque qualities of his character annoy me, but they really shouldn't considering this show has serious issues with being original. And why is he overpronouncing his R's half the time and not the rest? It's bugging me. But still...he's on my screen, and I didn't like Spike in his first couple episodes either. I'm OK with the quibbles at this point.

Dude! He fired all 4 of them?!? Whoa. Didn't see that coming. Josh and Jennifer, yeah. I thought he might do a double duty again. But all 4? I actually kind of liked James, and the other guy didn't seem that bad (for the life of me I can't remember his name; I just always thought of him as the Chris Reeve lookalike). But yeah, damaging revenue for the store that much that was definitely not of the good.
