So, 15 minutes ago, I had just settled in to start digging out my garden, something it desperately needs. I heard my cell phone ring, but got to it too late to answer. When I checked my missed calls, I saw
First thing out of her mouth was, "You have get back on the computer NOW." When I asked her why, she said that JERR (Just Erotic Romance Reviews) had reviewed Chains. I hadn't expected this so soon because they hadn't put it in their news about what was upcoming in the newsletter, so I promptly ran back inside to read it.
I got 5 stars!!!
OK, all squeeing aside, this is what they said...

Sighing, Dr. Maya Sheldon closes the door to her young patient’s room. He was dying and she was out of options. Startled by a noise behind her, she glances back to see the head nurse behind her. Scolding Maya was second nature by now and the nurse insists that Maya leave the hospital now. Tiredly Maya agrees.
As Maya makes her way to her car, she hears a scream from the alley. Fumbling for her cell phone, she dials 911 while searching her bag for bandages. Seeing a young woman lying on the street, Maya rushes over to examine her. As she reaches to take her pulse, she stops. There is no pulse – she is too late. Hearing footsteps, she snaps out orders. The man just stares at her and tells Katie to get up. To Maya’s surprise the girl with no pulse, sits up. Shaken, Maya just stares as Katie leaves her alone with a man she called Dec.
Ms. Dean adds an extra twist to the vampire myth by introducing children who are vampires. Declan ‘Dec’ Jericho has taken these vampire children under his wing, but they are all dying from a mystery illness. Hence his need for Maya’s expertise as a doctor. Dec is a prime grade alpha vamp with stains on his soul. Maya is dedicated to her job, and considers herself a failure in the personal relationship department. Until she meets Dec, that is. Dec is determined not to have sex with Maya, until the scent of her arousal teases his nostrils. When Maya takes matters into her own hands, they almost burn up the sheets.
Dec and Maya have many obstacles they need to overcome if they are to have a relationship with the most minor one being his vampiric nature. Although these are key to the story, it never drags it down. There is plenty of action and twists and turns in Chains of Jericho. With the depth of emotion between all the characters and the great plot twist, I couldn’t do anything but sit back and enjoy every word.
