Resolution recap

Went back to the gym tonight, and boy can I tell I haven't been on those weights since last Wednesday. Yikes. My biceps are all achy; I'm so glad I'm going to get back in the routine of this. I need it so badly.

So, today is the last day of the month. Tomorrow starts judging at LLGA which means I have to add the last few nominees tonight. I also looked over my resolutions for the first month of 2005...

1. I wanted to read a book a week. Well, this month I read 2 1/2 books, which, while it wasn't my goal, is already better than I'd been doing last year.

2. I wanted to be a better commenter, not just in my LJ, but in others. I gave myself a minimum to do every day, and so far, I've met it. Well, I have a few more to owe today, but the day's not over yet. ;)

3. I wanted to write 3000 words a day, with Sundays off if I wanted. Well, for the month of January, I managed to write 83,488 words, where my goal was 81,000. Not too shabby. I've even managed to make some of that my novel and writing I actually get paid for (my blurbs), so go me.

4. I wanted to try a new recipe a week. Ha. Didn't happen. Hasn't happened. So much has been disruptive in my life that food is taking a back seat. I'm just glad I'm...

5. ...making it to the gym 5 times a week. Since we had our consultation with the trainer at the gym, I've managed 2 strength sessions and 3 cardio sessions a week. Two of those weeks, I even managed 4 cardios. Now that Craig is back, I'm hoping to stick to the 4. The more I exercise, the stronger I'll make my body and the easier it will be to get healthy. I'm not overdoing it, and I have more energy than I've had in absolute ages, likely since I've had the kids. I'm feeling very positive about it.

  • The countdown is real

Only five more shifts at the library, woo hoo! Granted they're spread out over the next two weeks, but hey, the countdown is real. Today was…

  • Tons to catch up on

Maybe if I start posting on a Monday, I'll get back into the habit of posting here. I have no idea why this keeps sliding. It's not like my life is…

  • Going dairy free

With all the stupid crap that's happening in my body right now - inflammation is up, seasonal allergies through the roof - I've decided to try going…
