Woo, hoo, it's Friday

While it was a good day for me emotionally, it was a bad day for my hip, so as soon as I hit post on this, I'm getting in the hottest water I can stand and soak for a bit.

The Body Shop at Home is having their winter sale, with a ton of their holiday gift sets and more on sale up to 50% off. If you're curious, check it out. That link goes to the mystery party I'm hosting. Anybody who orders from it will be eligible to the get the host rewards on the 29th. I'm going to pick a random name as the winner, and this month is double rewards. You know, in case anyone cared. :)

Anyway, I had work this afternoon, which was good, and Mexican for dinner that I didn't have to cook, which was better. This weekend, I really have to start wrapping gifts. Almost everything has arrived, and Craig spent the time I was at work to wrap all mine so I'm massively behind. On top of that, I have to go out Sunday morning and get all the Christmas food shopping done so we can just stay in all next week. Alex has been done with his finals for a day or two now, and Alicia finishes tonight, so it'll be nice to sit back and relax for a change.

Well, they can relax. I have two holiday fics to finish, one for next week and one by the end of the month. I haven't even had time to go read my gift from my Secret Santa over at Elysian Fields yet. I didn't want to do it when I was tired. I want to give the author my complete attention so I can leave her a coherent comment. So maybe tomorrow.

Meme question: What is your favorite local restaurant where you live? What type of food, atmosphere, and prices does this place have?

Definitely our sushi restaurant. It's very small and laid back, and we've been going there for 10 years so they know us and our order (because we almost never change it, lol). It's pricy when it's all four of us home, so we don't get it as much as I want, but their rolls are huge and fresh. I always get a rainbow and what they call a crazy, which is like a rainbow smothered with fresh crab, unagi, and spicy mayo, with tempura shrimp at each end. I have to get the spicy mayo on the side these days because I can't handle that much heat, but oh, it's so worth it.
