At least tomorrow is Friday

I missed posting last night because, well, there was wine involved. Too much wine. And a four-hour visit from a good friend who's one of the few in our very tiny bubble. By the time she left after 11, I was too tired to get back on the computer.

That was the highlight of the past two days. The rest was crap. Yesterday, I discovered someone had hacked my PetSmart account. We have an autoship set up to get the dog food and cat litter, so it needs to have my credit card on file to charge it automatically. Around 3, I got a text saying that a charge of almost $70 had been made on my credit card there. My first thought was, "What did Alicia order?" So I got on to check. It wasn't Alicia. Somebody purchased a ton of cat food and had it shipped to Burbank. I immediately changed my password. Because the order was already processing, PetSmart said it was out of their hands. They couldn't do anything about it. So I called the bank, thinking I would just report the one fraudulent charge, but apparently, that's all it takes to cancel the whole card. I am now waiting for a new credit card to be sent to me. I went back to PetSmart and canceled my autoship items because I can't trust them now to have my credit card on file. It's annoying.

Then, this morning, my car refused to start when I tried to leave for work. Completely dead. I had to let Craig know and take his instead. Apparently, the battery was dead, but we're overdue for a service anyway so it's going in. But I seriously didn't need that when I need to be at work in seven minutes.

Our governor is putting regions into a major shutdown in coming days. The criteria is if our available ICU beds falls below 15% of capacity. Though our county is well away from that, the same can't be said for much of the Bay Area, and we're targeted as one of those "regions." It'll be in place a minimum of three weeks and will mirror much of what happened to us last spring. I have no idea what that's going to mean for the library. We closed back then, but I don't know if the fact that we're already operating at a minimum capacity with very strict guidelines in place and no public inside our doors will be a factor in it. Frankly, if they closed us down at the same time, I can't say that I'd be disappointed. I have a ton of stuff to do this month, and not having to work at the library during all of it would honestly help.

Meme questions!

Yesterday: If you were a toy, what would you be?
A cooperative board game centered on a book theme. That probably incorporates the most aspects of myself.

Today: What’s your current weather situation, and how is it affecting your day?
It's 40s in the morning, warming to 60s by late afternoon, then cooling again once the sun goes down. The side effect of living on the edge of a desert, lol. It's also clear and sunny. Our winter rain hasn't started yet. It's not affecting my day yet, except for the fact that my car doesn't like the cold. I thought that was the reason it wouldn't start this morning, but Craig told me I was wrong.
