First night of auditions

Tonight was the first night of auditions for the play festival, and we had a surprisingly good turnout! I could definitely cast my show from the people who came in tonight, though I'd have to fight for them, I'm sure, lol. Tomorrow's docket is completely full, at which point we'll give her our callbacks. I have very high hopes at this point.

Other than that, I got some distressing news today about one of my publishers. Apparently, the owner died last fall, and I (and a rather large number of other authors) got left off the notification list. I only just found out about it today. The daughter has completely dropped the ball on what it takes to close it down, so everything is going to the attorney handling the estate. At some point in the next week, I have to get out two certified letters asking for the reversion of rights for at least ten titles and make an e-filed claim to get the royalties I'm due. It's all one big massive headache I didn't need right now.
