Brave, Not Perfect

I saw this review for Brave, Not Perfect by Reshma Saujani, and I'm intensely intrigued. She's absolutely right about women in tech, but the larger lesson about women being afraid to fail keeps making me stop and think. I've been taking risks this year, and they're not bothering me nearly as much as I thought they might. Is it because I turn 50 this summer? Maybe. Is it going to be enough for me, or am I only taking small risks instead of big ones because failing won't hurt as much? I don't *need* the job. I didn't *need* to be in a show because I was already directing. So maybe they aren't really risks.

I need to get this book.

And then I need to share it with Alicia, I'll bet.
