merlin - gwaine like my sword: universal

Let's get physical

Day three without a lot of pain. One thing I definitely have to remember: cutting out sugar and carbs is so much better for me. It's been getting gradually better for the last week, in spite of moving a little bit more, which is good. With my foot still out of minor commission and not being able to get into the pool (I never go in the week after getting my hair colored, which happened last Saturday), I've been concentrating on weights for my arms and shoulders every other night and abdominal exercises. The arms, I can definitely feel, and man, do I need them. Not because of strength issues, though it would definitely help, but because they've always been a huge trouble spot for me. I hate finding a cute shirt and then not being able to wear it because the sleeves are too tight.

Craig is talking about moving the elliptical into the house out of the garage because the heat makes it unusable in the summer. Trying to figure out where to put it without going upstairs is an issue, though. I want to move a few bookcases out of his office to put it against the wall, and he just wants to put it in the middle of the room, which would render those bookcases unreachable and make the room incredibly awkward. The front room is out, since that's the formal space, which leaves the guest bedroom (and would mean moving it again in November when his dad arrives for his three-month visit) and the family room. I'm going to fight for the family room, I think. There's room behind the sectional and it would stop the cats from scratching at the couch, a habit we've never been able to break completely. Hm. I wonder if I can convince him of that. I'd definitely use it more because of the TV, even if it meant I had to turn my head for a lot of it because of the angle. Oh, I'm liking this idea more and more.
