Into the Wild

I've been watching movies off my Oscar list in recent weeks. Last night's offering was Into the Wild (2007, nominations for best supporting actor for Hal Holbrook and film editing). I will admit, I watched it mostly because yesterday was the last day it would be available for streaming on Netflix. I'd never read the book and knew almost nothing about it except the movie's blurb.

I was stunned by how much I loved it.

(no subject)

My weight loss has stalled out big time since I started the yoga and aqua classes. See, as my activity level has gone up, so has my appetite. I find myself starving, and then eat too much/the wrong things, and it's all staying pretty much level. It's frustrating because I don't know what to do about it. I know I have to pick better snacks if I'm hungry, but seriously, raw fruit or veg doesn't do it for me AT ALL. Nuts are bad, too. I can't stop eating them. Bread products are out because of how I have to limit my carbs, so if I go for a protein option, my calorie counts go too high.
