books - reading dreaming: coloryourdream

My gorgeous new Kindle cover

I started out reading electronically on my phone, way back in 2007 when I got my first iPhone. I switched over to my iPad when I got that for Mother's Day in 2010, and for the most part, that's what I've done the bulk of my e-reading on for the past three years. I used iBooks and the Kindle app for the most part.

Last fall, I realized that as my iPad aged (I have the second version), my battery was weakening. Using the Kindle app was sucking all my juice. Since Alex doesn't really use his Kindle since he got his iPad mini for Christmas last year, we decided I would get it. We only got it transferred over to me over the holiday and yesterday, my new cover arrived.

I'm so in love with it, it's not even funny. I ordered it from Oberon Design, a site spikesgurl showed me when I gushed over her case. I did check out Etsy first in case I found something I liked better, but in the end, it was probably inevitable I got the one I did. It screams me. The leather is thick and gorgeous, and the quality is outstanding. I'm half-tempted to get a slightly different one for my iPad now, lol.
