I know I wouldn't have this problem if I wasn't so lazy about them, lol. I learned to hate my previous solution, however, because I'm short and couldn't reach boxes without a step stool.

I'm the same. My most worn shoes end up under the coffee table while the rest vacation in the shoe cupboard ALL my shoes should live in.
