btvs - spike punk rebel: red_sunflower

Good friends, great times

So, I've been quiet on LJ because spikesgurl has been visiting me since Thursday, and well, I don't see her nearly enough not to take full advantage of the time I do. It's weird, but in the time we're apart, I always forget just how much we have in common and think the same, and then we get together, and we're so simpatico on sooooooooo many different subjects, and having the same thought at the same time, that I feel stupid for ever forgetting. We've joked for years that we share a brain, but it's really true.

Anyway, we had a blast. I introduced her to Merlin, and though we were only going to watch a couple episodes I'd picked out, she decided after the first she wanted to watch in order. Which sucked for me because I really want her to see Sins of the Father, but there was no way we were going to reach that one. As it was, we did seven eps while she was here, along with two of our favorites, Newsies and Running on Empty. Including singing along with Newsies. Shut up. We love it.

Saturday, we went to DSW, lunch, the movies, and then back to DSW. We had to go back the second time because she bought pink Converse shoes in the morning and decided at the movie theater she wanted the green ones, too. Good thing we did go back because I'd totally missed these flats the first time. They were too cute and comfy not to get.

We ended up seeing "Crazy Stupid Love" which I LOVED. I'm crushing on Ryan Gosling in a big way right now. I don't know what it was about the movie, except for the so genuine reactions and feelings that seemed to be going on. It was funny, don't get me wrong, but I love it for the imperfect people not the humor. Okay, maybe a little of the humor, lol. Highly recommend it.

Sadly, she had to go today, which meant playing catch-up for me. I'm still not done, but it was all worth it. Now I just have to figure out how to get her down here again, lol.
