I was going to update the list of nominees at the same time tonight, but in opening the nomination ballots, I discovered a horrible thing. When I coded/uploaded the new layout, I inadvertently used an old nomination form instead of the 2006 form. This means the wrong categories were on the ballot, and as a result, I've had to toss them all. PLEASE, if you've nominated something already this round, head over and nominate it again. And if you didn't, go on and nominate something anyway. ;)

Alex is unwell today, running a low-grade fever and generally not his usual perky self. He's not congested or anything, but he doesn't have an appetite, so I've turned this afternoon into a lazy TV afternoon, and he and Alicia are parked on the couches, wrapped in blankets, watching Avatar.

It gives me something to focus on other than my own maudlin needs. And I did manage to read another book before going to bed last night and writing another 500 words on the next chapter of my book, so that helped, too.

Oh, and having Christmas music playing helps, too. Yes, I'm one of those. It came out the day after Halloween. :D
