Craving Kismet

So, last spring, pepperlandgirl4 and I started collaborating together. We had characters who demanded they have their stories told, and in spite of our vastly different styles, we got that story told. And had so much fun doing it that the next time characters demanded we do the same for them, we caved without hesitation.

Well, that second collaboration has now found a home! Woo hoo!

Craving Kismet has been contracted by Samhain Publishing, one of the e-publishers that Pepper is already contracted with. One of the differences with Samhain is that they also go to print in stores (like Borders and Waldenbooks), as can be evidenced with Pepper's Rayne of Love coming out with them in December. So needless to say, I'm *very* excited.

Craving Kismet isn't my usual plotty story, but I love it just the same. Wanna know why? I think it's some of the hottest stuff I've ever done, and that's because of how much chemistry Pepper and I have while writing together. And Jenny and Ash, of course. Here's the blurb:

Jenny Rohm thinks she has it all - a job she loves, an engagement to her high school sweetheart, a future bright with promise. Then she meets attorney Ashley Edwards and discovers desire doesn't care how settled your life might be.

It starts with a single fantasy. His. Hers. One leads to two, two leads to three, three leads to more. Fantasizing about his wicked mouth or her sinful curves doesn't satisfy either of them for long, though. The more she gets to know him, the harder Jenny finds it to deny the truths Ashley insists on exposing. The question remains...is it worth risking everything she has to quench the cravings? Not even Ashley can give her the answer to that. When it comes to what she wants, only Jenny can make the choice.

And did I mention hot? You have no idea how many times I've re-read this on my own, independent of editing or writing. It gets to me every single time.

I'll keep people updated on the process. Now if we could just get our first, much plottier but still hot, collaboration sold, we would be sitting pretty. We've got a whole series planned for that one, but real life is getting in the way of writing for us right now.
