Eurydice's Ramblings

I don't usually talk about the reviews for my original work here too much, mostly because I know how arbitrary they are. But I got my first review for the novella I wrote that came out 3 weeks ago today and it has me bouncing off the walls. Mostly because I know as a simple contemporary that's very light on plot, it probably wouldn't have a big readership.

So, yeah, that's my good news of the day. I'm pleased as punch. Oh, and the next Beg chapter is halfway done. It'll be finished by the end of the day and sent off to sadbhyl for beta-ing. Life is very good today. :)

The funny thing about plot chapters is that they come out of me like water. Which means I have another chapter to post tonight.

First of all, though, thank you to whatever kind person nominated "Diamond Studded Flunkies" over at Spark and Burn!

Secondly, it looks like 3 chapters left on this after this one. My goal is to get this finished before I leave for my LA weekend of fun (and Kane!) with Craig on the 13th. I think that's doable.

I mentioned plot in this chapter, right?

TITLE: Beg the Liquid Red
AUTHOR: Eurydice
RATING: NC17, but mostly R
SETTING: Begins at the beginning of "The Girl in Question" and then goes AU from there.
SUMMARY: A night out to try and forget Angel's meddling in her life leads Buffy down a different path than the one she had planned. Old faces are like new again, and what's new is most definitely old.
PAIRING(S): It is Buffy/Spike, but because of the canon start, there are hints of Buffy/The Immortal.
DISCLAIMER: We know they're Joss', right? Which really is a shame, because most of the time, we're so much nicer to them than he was.
