eurydice james: pepperlandgirl4

Family stuff

A hodgepodge of family stuff over the past couple days has me up and down like a roller coaster.

Biggest Up: Alicia was selected by her coach and by the team's manager as their team's nominee for one of the end of season awards. It's the one for the player who loves the game, the hardest worker, and all-around best attitude. Charlie (the coach) even cornered me when I was picking her up from school to tell exactly why Alicia was far and away the best choice for them. Needless to say, I was in proud mama mode all day long.

Biggest Down: We got a call this morning from Craig's mum. His nan had been rushed to casualty in the wee hours of the morning, and while she is back home now, she's under close watch and has a whole slew of specialist appointments tomorrow to try and stem what seems to be wrong. She's a tough old bird - she'll be 91 this year and still lives on her own with minimal assistance from Craig's parents - so we're hoping this will pass soon.

But we toil along. I'm making up for a day of agony yesterday by being productive today. The end is in sight for the project pepperlandgirl4 and I are working on, and I'm throwing my energies left, right, and center to get other stuff accomplished. It's a good thing I actually have some energy today to do that. ;)
