I'm running around this morning like a chicken with its head cut off. The in-laws arrive in...*looks at clock*...6 hours. 6 hours?!? Crap. I have *so* much to get done before they get here, including hoovering the entire house, grocery shopping, and one last pass at the spare bathroom. I owe tons of e-mail and comments and I'm going to get around to that tonight when I can sit quietly (and the in-laws will want quiet because they'll be knackered due to the time difference). Plus, there's more fic to get posted some time in the next two days, including the next part of my William ficathon story and Frost (finally!)
OK, off to shower and try and get stuff done!
Wow. Two hours after my last post, and everything is done. Cake is made and iced, the entire house is hoovered (and someone *please* tell me why we have a house with so many stairs?!?), the bathroom is clean, and everything but the kitchen is sorted. And that will only take me 5 minutes or so after I eat lunch. I'm rather chuffed with myself. Especially since I can now sit down and relax for the first time today. I might even read. Fancy that. :)
I'll post my recipe for the cranberry sauce cake later today. Nothing fancy, just a Bundt with an orange glaze drizzled over it. Plus, there *will* be fic coming, and I'm going to right now sit down and respond to comments and e-mails.
Long day. Lovely having the in-laws here. Looks like tomorrow is going to be even longer.
I have a dentists appointment in the morning. Blech. Hopes are to have the next part of my William ficathon story up before I go and then Frost either late tomorrow night or Friday. That all depends on the dentist.
Did I mention I'm tired?
Oh, and I just have to ask because I can't figure out if I'm just horribly naive or what. But, I was emptying my bulk e-mail folder (where all my spam automatically gets sent) and though I don't normally look at the subject lines, one kind of jumped out at me. Can anyone tell me what in the hell is "paprika spunk?" The rest of the subject line was clearly XXX territory, so that would tell me what spunk is, but paprika? Is that a new flavor? Because if it is, I don't see it catching on. And then I started wondering if they meant color, and nope, that's even less appealing. Just...weird.
