Alarm clocks are evil

Up at 6am this morning because apparently Alicia was playing with the alarm clock yesterday and set it. *And* changed the time without us realizing because I thought it was almost 8 when it went off and got up only to find out it was almost 6. My house is completely quiet because everyone is still sleeping after an exhausting night yesterday and I'm a zombie.

Had company over last night, so I spent most of yesterday in food prep mode. We now have enough food to last us through the weekend so that I don't have to cook any more. Craig asked me what I want to do today, and I responded that I just wanted a day off but I don't think that's going to happen.

Our stuff gets delivered Tuesday morning. I will be officially entering unpacking hell but at least it's my stuff and that means I get to go back to sleeping on *my* bed Tuesday night and not the air mattress from hell. Still haven't figured out what to do with the inlaws because apparently my suggestion of putting them up in a hotel for the remainder of their trip (5 days) was seen as a joke. Go figure.

Is it wrong to be jealous of the people down in Oz seeing James this weekend? Why in hell am I so addicted to this man?

I know most people aren't around this weekend for one reason or another, so I hope you all have a lovely time doing whatever it is you're doing.

There is a god...

Blissful peace.

Just finished packing a picnic lunch for Craig, the kids, and the inlaws, and sent them off to go sailing for the afternoon, while I stay around the house and write. Me and water? Not so mixy. Rather phobic, actually, and since I would have less than fun if I tagged along, everyone pretty much insisted that I stay behind and relax. And my mother-in-law said that she wanted to see 10 chapters done by the time she got back. Ha. :)

Report from Down Under

In my ongoing jealousy of everyone in Australia seeing James this weekend, I went trolling a bit for some news, and found this lovely report by bookworm at More Than Spike. Her post is the last on the page. It's...amusing, with some new anecdotes from the Marsters himself.

Enjoy. :)
