Also found out today that Craig needs to go to China the week of the 23rd. Any suggestions on what he should bring back for me and the kids? I'm not too thrilled that he's going but considering I've got 3 trips already planned for later this year, I'm not in any position to be complaining about it. :)
In reorganizing my CD's the other day, I found my Toni Childs' "House of Hope." Does anybody else remember her? I put it on today and rediscovered my intense love for this singer. She just gives me goosebumps. Of course, now I'm all pissed because I can't find "Union" anywhere in my collection and I'll probably have to get another one, but it'll be worth it. She's just amazing.
I'm all squee because my sister in Tulsa called the other night because she wants to have a family get-together there for her daughter's birthday in July. My birthday and my mom's birthday are in the first half of that month, too, so she figures it's a good reason for all of us to get together. The only downside is that that was the month Craig wanted his parents to come over to visit, and I'm slated to go to Toronto around the 14th, but I really want to work around it. I've never seen my 1 1/2 y/o niece except in pictures, and Kip (my sister) has never seen Alex. I think it would be good for all involved.
Writing: Finished my winter_of_wes contribution today! Woo hoo! I sent the last chapter off to psubrat for beta-ing, but all the rest of it is done and ready for next Tuesday and posting. 18 chapters of Wesley and Willow. Now I just need to come up with a title for it. :)
I clocked in a total of 3033 words today for a monthly total 38,153. Tomorrow I have to write my blurbs, then it's Echoes, and my novel before I can write another Frost chapter. Plus, I got a new bunny tonight, courtesy of sadbhyl, and I'm seriously considering picking that one up after I finish Frost. The bunny from the other night has already been put on the schedule to write---. Oh damn. I just remembered Shroud. I have too many bunnies!!! *bangs head on table*
Exercise/food: Did my weights today, and increased my weight on the leg press and the vertical traction machines as my previous weight was just too easy. I've learned all my strength is in my quads and my upper back, surprise surprise. I have very little strength across the top of my chest or in my biceps, and those are the exercises that have the strongest effect on me afterward. Tomorrow night is cardio and then I get the weekend off, woo hoo!
We've been really good about food lately too. Of the past 9 nights, we've had salad for dinner for 7 of them, courtesy of Safeway having a two for one deal on bagged salad and half-price boneless chicken breasts. I even had salad last night when the kids had McDonalds. Go me. :) It's put a crimp on trying out new recipes as per my resolution, but I've still got 2 bags of salad to get through before I can try something else, lol.
Comments in the morning. Right now, Craig needs to mess around with my laptop. :)
