We left yesterday about 1:30 and took our time with the drive, getting into Pasadena about 8:30. Not too shabby, and no car sickness from the kids which is always a bonus. I brought my Storm Front and Fool Moon CD's to listen to in the car; Craig loves audio books and with such a long trip, I knew it was ideal. It's so weird, but I completely forget I'm listening to James halfway through the first CD. Craig's enjoying them quite a bit; I got yelled at last night for stopping it at one point. He still won't read the books, though. That's just too much of a time commitment for him when he could be reading computer books. What? You think I'm kidding? The boy reads coding manuals for leisure reading. He's weird that way.
We took the kids to see The Incredibles this afternoon, and while it wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped, there were some brilliant bits in it. Still recommend it for people, though maybe not if your kids are too young. Alex got a bit bored in the middle though he was fine for the rest of it.
Tomorrow is Universal Studios, and Disneyland is on Wednesday and Thursday, with San Diego happening this weekend. Who's brilliant idea was this again? No, really, I'm not complaining. It's wonderful having Craig around so much. And I'm even being good foodwise. I'm quite pleased with myself.
I have tons of e-mails to catch up on, so hopefully that will happen tonight. I'm writing, too, and there should be a couple of fic updates in the next few days (Echoes should be on Wednesday; Frost will likely be on Tuesday).
