Question for American mommies

What do you use for soiled diapers to throw them away? In the UK, I buy scented nappy sacks, which are essentially perfumed, thin plastic sacks that tie up, so that when you toss the dirty nappy in the rubbish, it doesn't smell. I went to look for some here, and couldn't find any. In fact, the two people I asked thought I was crazy for asking for such a thing.

Is there such a thing over here?
