We had a nice, quiet Christmas. I was delightfully surprised by some of my gifts, but I think Craig takes the cake for being happiest. He basically asked for woodworking tools and paraphernalia, and he's spent the last three days completely mired in his projects. He comes back into the house covered in dust and grinning from ear to ear. It's good to see him so happy.
We watched "Soul," which I absolutely loved. If you have Disney+, I highly recommend it. We haven't gotten around to "Wonder Woman" yet, though.
Other than that...not much. I've made steps to start getting my healthy back under control. I have worries about what the added weight this year has done, and it's time for me to stop being a baby about doing something about it.
Oh, and I've decided not to take down the Christmas tree. I had a friend who left hers up all year and redecorated it for the theme. I'm not sure if I'm going to go that far - it'll depend on how ambitious I'm feeling - but Craig gave me permission to leave it up until I get vaccinated. I'm good with that deadline. :)
Catching up on the meme...
The 24th: Do you prefer to receive money/gift cards or an actual gift?
Depends on who's giving it. I prefer gift cards from people far away or who don't know me well. I tend to prefer actual gifts from people who should know me well enough to know what I'd like.
The 25th: If you could receive a $1000 gift card from any store, which would you choose?
Costco. Because then Craig wouldn't give me a hard time for spending $500 when I went in with a list that only had 4 items on it.
The 26th: It’s Thank You Note Day/Boxing Day. Do you write hand-written thank-you notes or do you thank people for gifts in some other way?
I used to try and do it with a call if possible. These days, it's all electronic. Unless they're in my house.
The 27th: No matter what holidays you do (or do not) celebrate, do you have a good recipe for leftovers? Post it!
Nope. We just eat the leftovers as is.
The 28th: Do you usually make a special effort to thank someone who does you a favor? How do you react when you aren't thanked for going out of your way for someone?
Of course, I thank someone who does me a favor. They should know it's appreciated. On the other hand, I don't usually expect anything when I do a favor for someone else.
