Needless to say, a lot of people are pissed. It doesn't help that Newsom isn't practicing what he's preaching and got caught going to a birthday party in Napa last week that exceeded safety guidelines. But we wouldn't be in this predicament if people hadn't started getting lazy. There have been so many private parties in my town, it's unreal. People have expanded their bubbles, and now they're starting to burst.
I don't think the library will be affected since we were only doing front door service anyway, but I'll know more tomorrow when I go in.
I ran some errands in case I can't get to those businesses in the near future. I also made a test pie for Thanksgiving, a cranberry curd pie with a gingersnap/walnut crust. Craig loved it, Alex liked it, and Alicia told me never to make it again, so clearly that's not going to be our dessert this year. I'm not a fan of tart pies, but I'm outnumbered on that in this household so I tried it anyway. I will say that the crust was the bomb, though. I'm very tempted to use it as a streusel topping for other desserts.
