For anyone who is reading pepperlandgirl4's and my vampire bdsm series, The Master Chronicles, at Amber Quill, we've posted a new free story over at our Jamie Craig site.

It's another NC17 Gideon/Jesse scene, taking place not long after the conclusion of Master of Obsidian. It's a punishment scene, so be warned. It's actually going to be posted in two parts, but part 1 can be read as complete.

More writing news...

1. I got another galley to go over this morning. Just when I get one shuttled off, another fills its place, lol.

2. pepperlandgirl4 and I finished a novella yesterday and submitted it to Amber Quill. It's called At the Advent of Dusk, and it's a prequel in The Master Chronicles. How Gideon met Mary. To be considered as book 5 of the series, because book 4, Seduction in Black and White, which comes out in December, is kind of about Jesse's obsession with Gideon's past. Advent comes out January 27, 2008.

3. With Advent done, we were able to start book 6. It's called Chaos & Communion, and we're hoping to get a March release on that. Another full-length novel.

4. And finally, we have a new release today! Craving Kismet, which was the 2nd book we ever wrote together, came out today at Samhain Publishing.



Pepper blogged about it as a guest blogger on writer Annie Dean's site. There's an excerpt there that's not at Samhain, plus we're running a contest for everybody who comments on the blog. We're giving away 2 books, a copy of Craving and a copy of our other Samhain release, Liaisons in Jubilee. Head on over and take a look!

Drive-by posting since I'm starting to feel normal again and getting back my routine...

pepperlandgirl4 and I have started posting free original short stories/scenes at our Jamie Craig website. We have a tendency to write a lot, and then fall in love with our characters so we decided to start sharing the fruits of our labor. This is (hopefully) going to be a weekly updated thing. Trust me. We have a lot of stuff, lol.

First up on the list is a missing chapter from Master of Obsidian. When we wrote it, we knew it would probably go too far for the romance market, and sure enough, it got cut on the final edit. What's too much for them? Head on over and take a look, lol.

Well, Pepper and I had a surprise today. Our BDSM book with Amber Quill, Master of Obsidian, was supposed to be released on Tuesday. That's what we were told. That's what we were prepared for.

Guess what?

They brought it out today.

Anyway, Pepper has posted the first chapter on her LJ for those who might be curious by the blurb. Or the warning. Or both. And yes, she's completely serious about that chapter being one of the tamer ones in the book. I did mention it's hardcore, right?

I've been living in dread of getting the cover art for pepperlandgirl4's and my book, Master of Obsidian. The artwork at Amber Quill is hit or miss, frankly, and he puts naked man chest on every cover. Some of them are truly awful.

Well, we got our cover this morning, and...it's a lot better than I had hoped for:

Jesse's not exactly blond in the book, but that's our own fault for not being clear enough on the art survey. And yes, it's a gay vampire BDSM book. But it's also the first in a series we're doing for them. It comes out on May 1. They have the second book, Unveiled, that we're aiming at an August 1 release for, and the third book, Mosaic Moon, is 5 chapters away from being done. There's 3 more books and at least 1 novella to come afterward.

Hopefully, all the covers will be this hot. :)
