I don't have the concentration skills to do my normal eppy breakdowns, especially if I get around to picking up the marathon where we left off. I'll just end up repeating myself. So maybe I won't be spammy today. I'll just fall in love with Spike and Wesley all over again and wish I was still writing fanfic.

First up on the Buffy marathon - Something Blue. Except I watched that on my other marathon so I don't want to repeat what I wrote before.

For Pepper's and everyone's last day here tomorrow, we're having a Buffy and Angel marathon. Everybody gets to pick one of each, and we're watching all day. Expect lots of posts tomorrow. :D

Remember when Pepper and I were rewatching BtVS and AtS? And we got stopped because of weird schedules and everything else? Well, we've been talking for months about getting back to it, and so tonight, we did. :)

I leave bright and early tomorrow for pepperlandgirl4's house. As excited as I am about going, I'm stressed about the prep. Craig teased me when he got home from work today, asking where I would like him to pile up all the mail while I'm gone. I told him he's not getting away with that this time, that I'm calling every night to sit and go over the mail with him. We were gone for a week at the lake, and I came back to a Trader Joe bag full of mail and 11 packages. I shudder to think about what would happen if the mail didn't get touched for 12 days.

Coming up...BtVS resumes tomorrow! It's not happening tonight because I have got to go to bed early in order to leave the house at 6am for the airport. Plus, I think Pepper is going to catch the X-Files movie. But once I'm at her house, no more excuses.

Also...a new Soul chapter Monday.

So I should probably get off the computer and finish the laundry so that I can pack. Joy. I fear what it's going to look like when I return because I don't think Craig even knows how to use our washing machine.

Two days until I leave. I have so much to get done before I go. Why do trips away always generate so much work?!?

No Buffy last night because of a bad storm at Pepper's. And no Buffy tonight because she's at her mom's. We'd hoped to finish S3 before I left, but that's not going to happen now. Still, there won't be any coordinating of schedules once I'm there. Thank god. :)

Anybody read Lori Handeland? I had read a short story by her in...one of the "My Big Fat Supernatural..." books, and liked it enough to pick up the first book of her werewolf Moon series. I really, really enjoyed it, even though werewolves aren't usually my thing. She's actiony, with a smart heroine, and a hot professor Native American hero. Well, in the first book at least. It looks like each one has a different set of leads.

Right now I'm reading "Jade Tiger" by Jenn Reese. Chick martials arts with another hottie professor. I think I have a thing for hot smart guys, lol. But this is another one I'm really enjoying. It's a little heavy on the martial arts action sequences, but Shan (the heroine) is smart and has a sense of humor, which are pretty much my two biggest requirements in heroines. The author's voice is engaging, too, which helps. I'll let you know if the second half holds up to the first.

Other than that...life goes on. The family has been addicted to Civilization on the xbox. Including me. Stupid game. July's also been heavy on releases for both me and our Jamie Craig counterpart. I've had two novellas come out, and we've had three JC novellas come out, with a fourth coming out this weekend. Plus, we managed to get 6 titles on three different e-pub bestseller lists for the 2nd quarter which is always nice. :)

We are officially on vacation. Yesterday, we packed up the van and hauled the boat three hours north to the lake, and we are currently ensconced in half of a really nice duplex with our best family friends on the other side. I'm hoping for a relaxing week, but with 6 kids and the other mom as a social butterfly, I'm not sure my idea of relaxing is the same as theirs.

But today, at least, I get to take it easy. We're not doing anything special for my birthday, just grilling steaks for dinner. Craig left my gifts from the kids at home, which upset Alicia, but I told her it just means I have something to look forward to when we get back.

And hopefully, I can figure out how to finish S3 this week. We brought the DVD's but the cheap player in the house doesn't have a remote, so I think I'm going to have to watch on the kids portable dvd player. Which annoys me slightly because then I'm going to miss so much detail of the second half of my favorite season. Oh well. I just have to make do.
