I'm trying an experiment this week. Since I've always been most productive in the first half of the day, I'm getting up earlier to see if I can get more accomplished. Today was Day One. I got up at 5:30, which wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be, but my productivity didn't actually go up. There's a reason, though. I got stuck on a plot thing that took me half an hour to sort out. Then, I had to go through and sign off on all the work the contractor just finished in my kitchen. So that extra hour I gained this morning was basically just to ensure that I got my usual amount done, it would seem.
Speaking of my kitchen...we had doors put in on the other side of our island and the cupboards re-fashioned so that instead of one big empty space you could only get into from one side, I now have four separate cupboards, accessible from opposite sides, with sliding shelves. I got sliding shelves put in on two of my other low, double-wide cupboards, too. For the first time since we moved in, I actually have spare, usable space in my kitchen. It's glorious.
Now I'm off to try and stay awake until 10. Only two and a half hours to go. I may not make it. That's the one drawback to this getting up earlier, lol.
