Recovering from the weekend

We had a bit of a rough weekend. Alicia was sick on Friday, and by the evening, Craig and I were both coming down with it. We were pretty much flattened on Saturday, but surprisingly enough, everyone was fine on Sunday. One of those quick things, which I am not arguing with. I cannot afford to lose time being sick.

We didn't go to the gym Saturday night, but we were back to our routine last night. As of this morning, I'm down 7.4 pounds from the first of the year, which I'm very pleased with. I'm watching what I eat, but we're not really being that strict about it, to be honest. I made a chicken pot pie with cream cheese biscuits the other night, for instance. But I'm planning out weekly menus, which means less eating of the really bad stuff, and with all the added exercise, the weight is coming off pretty steadily. Plus, except for the odd day with pain, my hips are doing consistently better. As much as I may hate it, I need to make this routine stick. My days are so much better for it.

With the second season of The Fall on Netflix, I really need to sit and watch it. I had tried watching S1, but gave up halfway through the second episode. I'm going to give it another go, though. And I am not ashamed to admit it's because of Colin Morgan. I'm the first to say he might have been one of the strongest performers on Merlin, but as far as physical appeal, he was pretty low on the list for me. I'm an Arthur girl, all the way. And Percival. And Gwaine. But ohmigod, all the shots of Colin with the beard for The Fall? I literally stop and stare every time I see one. He's really matured into his looks, but damn, that beard gets to me. God, I'm practically salivating now just thinking about it, lol.
