Woke up at 1am with the leg cramp from hell. It's still impossibly tight and sore, but I can't say I'm surprised by it. I was very dehydrated and tired last night, and my diet has been so unbalanced lately. I managed to get a few more hours of sleep but when I got up at 5:30, unable to sleep any longer, I discovered Alex had been up since 4, and Alicia since 5.

Even better? They had been cleaning, too. I have pretty great kids.

Not to say I haven't been pretty productive so far, too. Everything's unpacked, mail is all done except for packages, gifts have been sorted out. I ran out at 7am to grab some milk because everybody was too hungry to wait for the Safeway order to arrive between 10am and noon. After that, I vacuumed the house, aired out the downstairs, and picked all the ripe tomatoes from the garden. I even managed to get my bonus entry up for this week's challenge at summerpornathon. Right now, I'm icing my foot and watching TV while I wait for the groceries to get here.

Craig went into work. He's swinging by to pick up Lucy and bring her home tonight. My life will be back in order very, very soon. At least, as much as it can be.

Lucy will make everything just seem right again. How many tomatoes did you get? I wish we were neighbors for so many reasons but definitely so I could swipe your tomatoes. LOL!!!

Those kids are amazing.

Lisa's been picking them pretty regularly, so it's just what ripened in the past few days. I've got 8 large tomatoes, and there was a pound of cherry tomatoes. Which are gone. The four of us kind of ate them for breakfast, lol.

I'm saving the large ones to make saag tomorrow night.

Oh, and my basil has gone mad. Lisa cut a ton yesterday to make pesto for everybody (I have fresh pesto, too!), and you can't even tell.

I keep telling you how nice this part of California is... ;)

You are a better man than I, Gunga Din.

I was so slug like yesterday and I'm still feeling it today. I really need to do something positive today.

It made me feel more empowered, so that helps a lot.

Both of us deserve a vacation where we get to be the pampered one for a change. I envision lots of pretty cabana boys. And wine.
